RYA Yachtmaster Training & Exam

Professional training followed by an exam for the serious sailor.  Over 3 days candidates are put through their paces to sharpen their skills ready for the exam on day 4.

Pre-Course experience recommended by RYA:

50 Days Sea Time
5 Days as Skipper
2500 Miles
5 Passages over 60m, including 2 overnight and 2 as Skipper

Exam

The candidate will be expected to demonstrate competence based on broad experience.  This will be practical 12-18 hours.

The ratio of students to instructor will not exceed 4:1.
